Baked S’mores – Dinners, dishes and desserts

Four S’mores – You don’t need a campfire for s’mores! Make 1 or make 20 in minutes using the oven!

If you’re like me, you love s’mores, but having a fire outside isn’t always possible. There are only a few months of the year when you have a fire. Also, I live in Colorado and most of these months we’re under a fire ban because it’s so dry.

So indoor s’mores are the best alternative! A few minutes, no mess, and just as good!

Why you will love this recipe

  • No mess. Ok, you still have sticky marshmallows, but no fire, wood, ashes, messy sticks, etc. that you need to clean up!
  • Ready in minutes! Seriously, firing up the oven to enjoy a s’more probably takes 8 minutes max.
  • You can use any cracker or chocolate you like! I went classic with graham crackers and Hershey bars, but you can use Ritz crackers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or use Caramelo for that gooey caramel…the possibilities are endless!
  • Make just 1 or make 20, you are only limited by the number of crackers and ingredients you have. But it’s so easy to do exactly what you want.

Baked s’mores

The perfect s’mores any day of the week. Usually you think of them as a summertime treat when camping or at the beach or just getting together with friends. But you really can whip them up in minutes and enjoy them whenever the mood takes you!

S’mores cookie bars, S’mores brownies, and even these S’mores cookies are a great way to get the flavor of other forms of dessert. But sometimes you just want that classic s’more with a perfectly toasted marshmallow!

What you will need

  • Graham crackers
  • Hershey’s Chocolate Bars
  • marshmallows

I use s’more sized marshmallows for these, but you can use the traditional size. Whatever, use what you have!

Recipe tips

  • You really have to watch them when they are in the oven. If you want a perfectly soft, gooey, golden marshmallow, place the tray on the lowest rack. It will take more than 2 minutes, but will be perfectly golden when you take it out.
  • Like dark burnt marshmallows? Place them on the top rack and let them rest for about 1 minute.
  • Combine chocolate and crackers. Ritz crackers, pb cups, caramel filled candies, dark chocolate, drizzle with caramel… so many options!
