On Friday, April 14, Boston Stoker Coffee Roasters opens its new location, and second in Central Ohio, on Glick Road in Shawnee Hills. The cafe is in a new development just west of the Scioto River across from the Columbus Zoo.
The Dayton-based roaster and store has a long presence in central Ohio, first with a string of stores along Neil Avenue that have since closed, and most recently with a new store on First Avenue in Grandview in the former Luck Bros. space.
The cafe offers an extensive menu of espresso, drip coffee, cold brew, flavored and blended beverages, tea, as well as a small entree menu including breakfast sandwiches, coffee flakes, and more. oats, fruits and baked goods.
Toasted breakfast sandwiches can be filled with bacon, sausage or vegetables.
Baked goods range from cakes and cookies to bagels, scones, fruit-filled turnovers, muffins, brownies.
The shop includes a variety of seating, free Wi-Fi, and a small front patio. There’s even a small kids’ area with a pint-sized wooden cafe, complete with espresso machine!
And there’s a retail wall complete with Boston Stoker beans, mugs, candy, coffee-making equipment. In addition to coffee, Boston Stoker has long offered cigars, so there is a full-length humidor.
The Shawnee Hills boutique has already opened, with a full grand opening scheduled for Friday, April 14.
