Cozy up in a hobbit hole at Magical Earth Retreat

Over the years we have found many places to stay around Hocking Hills, from many cottages to places like Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls or Glenlaurel Scottish Inn & Cottages. But there’s always something surprising to discover, and just recently we were invited to spend the night at Magical Earth Retreat, which features a series of huts that look like hobbit holes!

The retreat is built into the side of a property in Creola, about 20 minutes south of Logan.

It currently includes four of the cabins, which can accommodate two to four people.

We were accommodated in the Daisy cabin, which has a small living room, kitchenette, queen bed, bunk beds, and bathroom.

Each cabin has a small hot tub, which is warmed by a wood-burning fireplace. This means you have to be a little more active to maintain the heat.

The grounds also include a small sauna that can accommodate a few people.

And there is a fireplace for common use.

The retreat is about 20 minutes south of Logan, close to many great Hocking Hill hikes or activities like John Glenn Astronomy Park. You can drive all the way to Logan for cafes, breweries and restaurants like The Feed.

If you need a comfortable place to sleep while you explore the area, Magic Earth Retreat is definitely a fun stopover!
