Friday Food Bites: Colin’s Coffee reopens; Saturn’s Sports Bar, Norwich Grocery coming soon

There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:

  • After being displaced from the now-demolished Golden Bear Center, Colin’s Coffee has reopened inside The Daily Growler at 2812 Fishinger Rd., right across the street! The coffee shop is open seven days a week.
  • The owner of Habibi Grill, newly opened in Italian Village, announced that they have closed the Mr. Hummus Grill & Pizza inside Bubbly Hall in New Albany.
  • Business First shared this week that Saturn’s Sports Bar will take over North High Brewing’s original Short North taproom, which is closed at the end of 2022.
  • A new pop-up from some employees at The Lox Bagel Shop is launching this Monday, Nov. 6. The Funky Duck will serve smashburgers, shakes, duck fat popcorn, fried pickles, and other snacks. (Be aware that this first pop-up has sold out!)
  • The Beers and Board Games Club will host their ninth-annual 24-Hour Board Game Marathon beginning at 11 a.m. this Saturday, Nov. 4 at Olentangy River Brewing Company. The event raises money for Nationwide Children’s Hospital; tickets are only $20, and attendees aged 18+ can drop by any time.
  • A new spot called Heaven Crepes and Waffles has opened at 1397 Worthington Center Dr., next to the Worthington Park library branch.
  • The owners of Jasmine Fusion Grill announced on social media that they have wrapped up their run on the second floor of 560 S. High St., above Columbus Axe Throwing.
  • Last week 614 Now shared that a location of Tokyo Hibachi & Sushi Buffet will be opening 8491 Sancus Blvd.
  • The owners of Mya’s Fried Chicken shared this week that they are retiring after running the truck for eight years and are putting it up for sale. (For a throwback, check out Mya’s Fried Chicken with its original owner.)
  • Following the closure of a couple stalls at Hilliard’s Center Street Market, Norwich Grocery will be replacing them the coming weeks, offering sandwiches, soups, snacks, and other items.
