A new Community Development for All People (CD4AP) social enterprise opened this week on Parsons Avenue! The South End Cafe offers coffee and snacks and is dedicated to hiring those who need help building a work history and developing important skills.
We attended the grand opening and grand opening of the cafe, located on Parsons Avenue, east of the Reeb-Hosack neighborhood on the south side.
The long cafe space features exposed brick and tiled walls, lots of natural light from the street.
The cafe currently offers a menu of filter coffee, espresso, tea, hot chocolate, as well as snacks like muffins.
The walls are adorned with works by local artists, most of which are currently reproductions of murals spread throughout the city.
And the space includes tables and a counter with plenty of outlets for studying, working, and meeting.
