Listen, my love of fried chicken is well documented. I love it in all forms – fried chicken dinners, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken wings – and in all styles, from classic Southern Nashville-style fried chicken to regional favorites like Barberton-inspired fried chicken. Serbian.

So I’m in luck: Bob Evans just presented a taste of Nashville with his new Dang Hot Chicken! We’ve certainly become familiar with Nashville Hot Chicken over the past few years, and Bob Evans’ new offerings really stand out in terms of heat and flavor.

Dang Hot Chicken is available as a dinner or sandwich at the restaurant, or Family Meal to Go if you want an easy option for dinner at home! The family meal is enough to feed six people.

Dinner includes two hand-breaded fried chicken breasts generously drizzled with hot dang and ranch sauce on toasted brioche bun, along with pickles, your choice of two sides, and rolls. It’s a big meal that will definitely fill you up and leave you with some leftovers.

The sandwich is no less hearty! It includes a trio of chicken tenderloins with Dang hot sauce, a large ranch tenderloin and crispy coleslaw between toasted brioche bread, topped with pickles and served with fries.

The Dang Hot Sauce packs a serious punch, and I love the combination of tangy, salty chicken with tangy, creamy coleslaw and pickles.

And if you’re going to dinner at Bob Evans, you might as well start with chili and cheese fries…
